Descubriendo las aldabas (I) / Discovering knockers (I)

Today we want to show you one of the most fascinating things you can find around the city: the old knockers adorning doors as old as them. They're little jewels, not easy to detect and it grows harder everyday to surprise them guarding the large gates of manor houses and palaces. But if you have a keen eye, you might still be lucky to notice and admire them.

They come in lots of different sizes and shapes. Some of them recall animals or plants, other represent little human hands or plain rings, but all of them preserve a special beauty.

Hopefully we'll find new graphic material to enlarge little by little this section we love so much. In the meanwhile, keep your eyes wide open and never miss a glimpse to the old doors, because they hold small treasures!
